Ignition Cables

Cabos-de-Ignicao1-292x300

The function of the ignition is to conduct the electric current from the transformer to the spark plugs by distributing the current in the correct order of engine ignition. This current is of low intensity, however, the electric current required to generate the spark on the spark plug is high getting between 20,000 and 30,000 volts.

The NGK ignition cables are produced with the same technology and materials developed for the provision for major automakers of Brazil. NGK do Brasil supplies the domestic original market having acquired the preference of large automakers for decades.

All cables produced by NGK do Brasil are resistive type. The resistance of the ignition cable has the function of reducing the noise generated by the operation of the ignition system, thus avoiding interference in vehicle electronic systems, such as:

– Electronic fuel injection;
– Sound system;
– Antitheft system (alarms, blockers and trackers);
– Automatic gear shift with electronic control;
– Traction and stability electronic control;
– Air Bag and ABS Systems.
– CAN Network;
– Air conditioning with electronic control;

NGK makes available on the market two types of ignition cables, SC and ST Cable types.

SC Type:
This cable has as its main characteristic the electric resistance along the wire.

Cabo-Tipo-SC

ST Type:
This cable has as its main characteristic the electric resistance at the terminals.
